Strictly Come Dancing star, Amy Dowden, has revealed that she has Crohn’s Disease.
The professional dancer from the hit show recently revealed all on ‘This Morning’, explaining how she was first diagnosed with the condition aged 11.
Crohn’s Disease can affect any part of the digestive system, from the mouth down to the rectum, with severe inflammation, diarrhoea and sickness being some of the main symptoms.
The Welsh-born, 28-year-old, says she has always been very determined and wasn’t going to let the illness hold back her career, while medication helps to keep the condition at bay.
Amy is currently competing in her third series of the celebrity dance competition, and is teamed up with CBBC’s Karim Zeroual.
